Victor De Jesus

I’m Victor.

I was born in Washington Heights in New York. I’m the product of two outrageously hard-working parents from the Dominican Republic (yes, I'm bilingual). I studied in the fun sized state of Rhode Island, which was drastically different from New York. I learned a lot about myself there, including the fact that I'm the most curious person I know.

Though I was fascinated by Nike & Spike Lee’s ads for Michael Jordan in the 90’s, I didn’t know I wanted to be in advertising until my very last week in college. That’s when I was exposed to a campaign that helped feed the needy in Rhode Island. I was amazed at the power of words and knew I wanted to write for the rest of my days (unless I hit the lotto, of course).

So, I made my way to ad school in Miami (another life-changing experience), and now I’m here. Back where it all started, in New York. Living the dream of writing for big brands thanks to a pretty dope agency called Heat.

My family is everything to me. Even if my brother can't see that.
